We’re thrilled to welcome MAYLYN to the second episode of OUR STORY OUR SONG, the new live music series from Root & Vine, featuring emerging and established artists performing their songs under a cathedral of sky, to the tune of nature.

An old soul with a youthful spark, MAYLYN’s songwriting chops far exceed her experience. She writes across multiple genres from pop, EDM, and film/tv, collaborating with ATTLAS (mau5trap), HEYZ (Bite This!), UNSECRET, Giiants, Martin Jensen (Sony Disco:- Wax), Nick Peters (Zero Three Records) and DJ Paige x Nihill Young (Toolroom Records). 

With over 3.5 million streams on Spotify, 400+ monthly listens and a debut record on the way, MAYLYN is melting the world with her genuine magic. 

My nickname is songbird. I always knew I wanted to write songs and sing, but growing up in a small town in Mississippi, I didn’t know how this would be possible. I learned to be bold and pray some pretty big prayers. After graduating college, I signed my first publishing and management deal. Now I split my time between LA and Nashville, getting to write songs for other projects and keeping some favorites for myself to sing. I love this journey and I’d love to share its highs and lows with you. I don’t know what’s going to happen next, but I can at least guarantee that I’ll be singing; cause what’s a songbird that doesn’t sing?
